Hello and welcome to Tags English.
Today I want to tell you a story. A real story. About a man who had nothing. And then he had everything. Not because he was lucky. But because he never gave up.
His name was Abraham. He grew up in a very poor family. They had no money. No big house. No nice things. When he was young, he had to walk miles just to get to school. And sometimes, there was no school at all.
When Abraham was a young man, he tried to start a business. It failed. He lost everything. He tried again. It failed again. He ran for a government job. He lost. He ran again. He lost again. People around him said, “Stop. You are not good enough. Accept it.”
But Abraham did not listen.
He kept going. He kept trying. He kept believing that one day, things would be different. And you know what happened? Abraham Lincoln became the President of the United States. One of the greatest leaders in history.
Think about that for a moment. A poor boy with no money, no connections, no easy road — became the most powerful man in his country.
How? Because he made one decision every single day. The decision to continue.
Life will knock you down. That is not a question. That is a promise. The question is — what do you do when you are on the floor? Do you stay there? Or do you get up?
Abraham got up. Every single time.
And here is the thing I love most about his story. He was not special from the beginning. He was just consistent. He just kept moving forward, even when it was hard. Even when it hurt. Even when everyone said no.
You do not need to be perfect. You do not need to have everything. You just need to keep going.
So today, think about your own story. What is the thing you want? What is the dream you have? And ask yourself — are you still moving toward it? Or did you stop somewhere on the road?
It is never too late to start walking again. Abraham showed us that. And if he could do it — so can you.
Your story is still being written. Make it a good one.
